Here are some tips and suggestions for a fun cool 4th:
– Phoenix is super busy during Fourth of July Weekend. Be ready for traffic congestion and tons of people.
-Bring water and drink frequently, it gets hot, you can dehydrate even at night.
-Stop by a Dollar Store and purchase your own glow necklaces, bracelets, and glow sticks for about 1/3 of what you’ll pay at the events. Make the kids and your wallet happy.
-If you’re attending a fireworks show, you can always bring your beach chair and blankets and grab a spot close to the action. If arriving early, bring a sun shade as well.
– When traveling in the city your best bet is to park and use public transportation to get around. Where available, the light rail runs every 15 minutes and is 2.00 a person per ride, or $4.00 for all day pass.
